NIA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (STTR) programs are designed to help new companies commercialize products and technology to extend the healthy, active years of life. We provide small businesses with significant seed funding to address innovative ideas that fall under the NIA mission.

Our next big step is to help diversify the pool of NIA-supported companies and entrepreneurs so that it more closely resembles the larger U.S. business landscape. The NIH Applicant Assistance Program can help woman-led, minority-owned, and other underrepresented small businesses as they seek NIH small business and tech transfer grants, and the next deadline to apply is April 6. Read the full blog post.
