Keeping Active With Dementia

If you are living with dementia, participating in activities you enjoy and getting exercise may help you feel better and maintain a healthy weight. Try these tips for a healthy and active lifestyle:

  • Be physically active for at least 30 minutes on most or all days of the week.
  • Aim for a mix of exercise types — endurance, strength, balance, and flexibility.
  • Ask family and friends to join you on walks in your neighborhood as you strive to stay physically active.
