Your Heart Will Thank You For Being Physically Active

Being physically active is one of the most important things you can do to keep your heart healthy. Inactive people are nearly twice as likely to develop heart disease as those who are active. The good news is that almost anyone, at any age, can do some type of physical activity.

This National Heart Month, commit to being physically active. Your heart will thank you! Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity a week and visit NIA’s website to learn more about exercise and heart health and to find tips for exercising with chronic conditions.
