Upcoming NADRC Webinars: May 22 and June 25

The National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center is pleased to present two upcoming webinars. Information below includes a reminder about the previously announced webinar on May 22nd focused on brain health and information about our newly announced June 25nd webinar focused on dementia awareness in Tribal communities. Please see below for more details.

On June 25, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET,the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center will host the webinar, Building Dementia Awareness in Tribal Communities through Interactive Programming: Implementing the Virtual Dementia Tour.. A description of the webinar and registration information follows.

Discussion, education, and engagement have become key in supporting Tribal members living with dementia, their caregivers, and the community. The Virtual Dementia Tour has become a powerful way to build understanding and open the door to greater conversation and education about dementia within Tribal Communities. “The Virtual Dementia Tour”, created by P.K. Beville, is a scientifically proven method of building a greater understanding of dementia through the use of patented sensory tools and instruction. Join Amber Hoon of the Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council and Carrie Lindsey of Oneida Comprehensive Care Division as they discuss their experiences using the Virtual Dementia tour and learn about its impact within the Oneida Nation.
