Sleep plays a vital role in good health and well-being throughout your life. Getting seven to nine hours of sleep each night can help reduce your risk of health problems like forgetfulness, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and depression. Unfortunately, one in three adults don’t get the recommended amount of uninterrupted sleep they need to protect their health.
This August, join the #ScienceOfSleep Across the Lifespan Q&A Series on Facebook to learn how sleep impacts health at every age. This series is co-hosted by NIA, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
