Tips for Coping with Breaks in Your Exercise Routine

It is normal for life events, including major upheavals like the COVID-19 pandemic, and changes to your routine to get in the way of staying active. However, there are ways to get yourself back on track.

For example, if you find that caring for an ill loved one is taking up much of your time, work out to an exercise video when they’re napping. Or if a change in your health keeps you out of action for a few weeks, wait until you feel better before slowly starting to build up to your previous level of activity.

Remember — to get the most out of exercise and physical activity, they need to be a regular part of your life.
