ADEAR Stands For…

“Would you be a dear and explain what ADEAR means?”

“Of course!”

ADEAR stands for the “Alzheimer’s and related Dementias Education and Referral Center.” The ADEAR Center offers information and publications for families, caregivers and professionals on diagnosis, treatment, patient care, caregiver needs, long-term care, education and training, and research related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The ADEAR Center was created by the U.S. Congress in 1990 and is a service of the National Institute on Aging, part of the National Institutes of Health.

Explore who we are and the resources we provide on our About the ADEAR Center webpage. Or you can email us at adear@nia.nih.gov or call us toll-free at 1-800-438-4380.

You are such a dear for visiting ADEAR. Thanks!
