Dementia Friends Network Recaps 2019 Highlights in Seasons Greetings Message

Season greetings!

As 2019 draws to a close and we approach the new year, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of the global effort challenging stigma and raising awareness of dementia.

2019 highlights include

18 countries or territories have joined the network including the first country in North Africa, 7 new programmes in Latin America and the Caribbean and others in Asia and Europe.

There are now over 65 programmes launched or in development in every region of the world and over 18 million Dementia Friends taking action!

In September we united as a global movement to show how our Dementia Friends programmes are challenging perceptions on dementia via this short film.

Thank you for all your work and dedication to your programme. You are helping create meaningful change for people affected by dementia around the world.
