Caminando Juntos: Caregiver Conference

Caminando Juntos: Caregiver Conference on Saturday, November 17th from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM at the Arturo Velasquez Institute, 2800 S. Western Ave., Chicago IL 60608.

Caminando Juntos is a free bilingual conference for current and prospective Latino caregivers caring for a senior family member. Attendees will walk away with information about care planning for an older family member, self-care workshops, and engage in panel discussions from other family caregivers who have learned how to navigate complex family dynamics and health care systems and resources. The conference will include:

  • 9 educational presentations focused on local, state and national community resources and  self-care for family caregivers;
  • Self-care activities;
  • A caregiving skit (Mikey O’ Comedy) because a little humor goes a long way; and
  • Marco Antonio Regil (host of Un Nuevo Día).
