Warning Signs

Being able to recognize the symptoms of dementia is not always easy. They can be slow to develop, and it can take time to notice a pattern. After receiving a diagnosis, many will say that they now realize that the problem had started years before. 

Different forms of dementia can begin differently. With Alzheimer’s disease memory can be one of the first problems. With other dementias, it could be problems with communication, carrying out daily tasks, or changes in how the person interacts.

Here are some suggestions for recognizing the warning signs.
