The Dementia Friendly Task Force represents a range of community members. The key members of the Task Force are comprised of people from healthcare, a large community center, the Alzheimer’s Association, and a care partner.

Some members of the task force grew up in the community and are working to make connections with local organizations. These connections include the local police department, the library, local government, faith communities, service organizations, and workforce agency offices.

They have already developed a local memory café and caregiver support group. Through the connections of the task force members, they plan to connect people with research, evidence-based dementia education, resources, activities.

The Task Force has plans to provide the following activities in the following locations:

1. Taskforce meetings (quarterly to bi-yearly)

2. Health Fairs

3. Community Events

4. Houses of Faith

5. Fieldtrips/Tours of community organizations
