Spotting the Signs of Elder Abuse

Each year, thousands of adults over the age of 60 are abused, neglected, or financially exploited. As you go home to celebrate the holidays with family, pay attention to your elder relatives. Notice their appearance, their home, their mannerism. Talk to them. Ask how they are doing. If you notice signs of elder abuse, contact The National Center on Elder Abuse here.

Visit the NIA website to learn more about how to spot the signs of abuse so you can intervene and assist.
