Illinois Cognitive Resources Network

Introducing the ICRN Video Library!

Major new updates are now live on the Illinois Cognitive Resources Network website, including a new video library! On this site, you can find vital information and resources from reputable dementia and geriatric professionals and organizations.

The content in the video library is carefully selected to encompass the needs of people living with dementia, those at risk for the disease seeking advice for healthy aging, and families looking to support their loved ones affected by cognitive decline. You can find information about all stages of the dementia journey, ranging from diagnosis, disease management and caregiving, to advanced care planning. There is also great information for professionals, such as the Toolkit Project and engaging episodes of the Brain Trust podcast.

The video library is conveniently accessed from the ICRN homepage. Simply select “Video Library” on the far-left side of the navigation bar at the top of the page. To make searching through topics easier, there is a “Browse Categories” button on the video library page to navigate through various content stored on the page, including videos in Spanish.

These short clips, most under ten minutes long, are perfect to watch in on-the-go situations, like a spare moment in a waiting room. Each video duration is conveniently listed alongside the title to help you as you decide if it is a good time to watch.

You can find the ICRN video library here.

In addition to the video library, the ICRN has made other updates throughout the site to increase accessibility and optimize performance. Most exciting are the interactive features to our Dementia Friendly Illinois Community Map that highlights all of our nationally-recognized Dementia Friendly Communities. We are excited to launch these site updates and improve the experience of the people living with dementia, caregivers, and dementia professionals who rely on the ICRN as a resource.
