From the NIA: How Does Alzheimer’s Affect Intimacy and Sexuality?

If you are a caregiver for your spouse or partner with Alzheimer’s disease, you may both experience changes in intimacy and sexuality. The person with Alzheimer’s may become stressed, angry, depressed, and fearful due to changes in their memory. As symptoms worsen, they may not remember their feelings toward you or seek companionship with someone else.
 
To help navigate these challenges, try to: Reassure the person with Alzheimer’s that you love them and will keep them safe. Explore new ways of spending time together, such as playing a game. Focus on showing affection in other ways, such as holding hands or snuggling. Find more tips to help navigate changes in intimacy and sexuality.
